Steven Liang is a Data Governance Specialist at CN Rail, leading key initiatives within the company’s cutting edge Data Governance and Data Management Program. He, along with a team of Data Management professionals, ensures that data is governed, trusted, and compliant while facilitating data democratization and culture across the enterprise. His expertise spans Business and Technical Metadata Management, Data Privacy, AI Governance, and the development of governance frameworks that drive business efficiency and regulatory adherence. Holding a Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) from McGill University, Steven combines analytical expertise with strategic Data Governance experience to advance best practices in the transportation and rail domain. Beyond his role at CN, Steven is an Executive MMA Ambassador at McGill Desautels, where he leads a team of alumni ambassadors dedicated to promoting analytics education, mentoring students, and fostering industry-academia collaboration.
