Michael, a graduate of the University of Toronto and post graduate analytics certificate from York University, is the Director of Data and Analytics at the largest office furniture manufacturer in Canada. Over the course of his 25-year history with Global Michael has had various roles from customer service and sales to change management. Using his vast experience and understanding of the company’s culture, he has taken the lead in moving Global Furniture Group from thinking of data as a liability to the world of analytics. He is implementing a program in which the asset of data will be used to inform decision making as well as creating a Data Governance program. This program started in the sales and marketing side of the business, but has now expand into purchasing, supply management and the customer experience.
