Taufiq Hakim is a data, AI, and transformation leader focused on helping organizations turn information into measurable business value. As Director of Data Strategy, Governance, and Enablement at CAPREIT, he leads enterprise data and AI initiatives spanning governance, operational transformation, platform modernization, and AI adoption. His work has helped establish enterprise data & AI governance, operationalize AI use cases, advance organizational data maturity, and deliver thousands of hours in annual efficiency gains across the business.
Prior to CAPREIT, Taufiq led Data Advisory at BDO, where he advised organizations including the Bank of Canada, University Pension Plan, and other public- and private-sector organizations across financial services, energy, manufacturing, and industrial sectors on data strategy, governance, operating models, AI enablement, and enterprise transformation. He is passionate about helping organizations move beyond experimentation and embed data and AI into the way work gets done – enabling faster decisions, greater operational efficiency, stronger governance, and tangible business outcomes.
